Last January, my friend Jill and my sister signed up to take an intro web-coding seminar, called The HTML500. The idea was to take 500 regular people and over the course of the day, teach them the basics of HTML and CSS. Each of us were empowered by a basic skill set to turn us into would-be web developers. It was a fantastic day, and I left with a lot of ideas floating around my head.
Fast forward almost exactly a year later, and a lot of those ideas had jelled, but I was still essentially in the same spot. I knew what I wanted my website to encompass, but let's face it: I had no motivation to code it myself. I wanted all the fun of creating it, while remaining (somewhat) blissfully ignorant.
On the heels of this important self-admission, I can safely say that choosing a service like Squarespace made it pretty simple for my vision to become reality. One weekend, in fact. And I can even blog about it now!
Now onto the fun stuff!
